Our founders, Lynda and Michael Dickson start trading as Decora.

The main product offering at the beginning of Decora’s history was Dutch Canopy’s and Folding Arm Awnings, targeted at the Northern Ireland market.

Decora expands its target market to the South of Ireland.

Mzuri Acquire TCMM Shutter Group. TCMM, founded in 2002 has become one of the UK’s largest interior wood shutter distributors with an additional operation in the USA under their Shutter Store brand. This acquisition marks Mzuri Group’s expansion of shutter distribution in Europe and the USA.

Mzuri Group strengthens its position in the UK blind industry with the acquisition of Tropical Blinds. Established in 1978 Tropical has grown to become a significant player in the UK window blind industry. A highly reputed company, Tropical is known for its made to measure portfolio including key shutter brands such as Austin and Dulwich.
