Lisburn-based Mzuri Group which owns Decora and TCMM has announced today they have acquired Tropical Blinds.
Established in 1978 Tropical Blinds has grown to become a significant player in the UK window blind industry. A highly reputed company, with a substantial network of customers throughout the UK, Tropical is known for its made to measure portfolio including key shutter brands such as Austin and Dulwich.
The company which employs 115 staff will maintain its headquarters in Sidcup, Kent and will continue to operate independently.
Russell Dickson, Commercial Director for Mzuri comments:
"This acquisition will accelerate the Groups goal of creating and distributing inspirational window blind products across the UK and Europe. The combination of Topical’s manufacturing experience and distribution will contribute greatly to increase our product portfolio and develop Mzuri’s trade shutter business."
Mzuri’s ongoing acquisition strategy has been facilitated through the Groups partnership with BGF, one of the UK’s most active investors. David Gammie, Investor at BGF said:

The acquisition of Tropical Blinds marks the Group’s fifth acquisition over the last year. We welcome them to the Group and look forward to working with them."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
